When should I report a map image?
Since map images are used in the context of a specific campaign, we expect that most disagreements about the appropriateness of map images can be resolved by contacting your DM. If someone posts something illegal or uses map images to harass other players, please report those images to us so that we can remove them.
How do I report a map image from within a game session?
- Click the info icon in the lower right while viewing the map.
- Click the three dots on the right of the info menu
- Click Report Image. This will take you to the Report Maps Image form.
- Fill out the fields in the form, including:
- Email Address – This is the email address we’ll use to follow up with you if we have questions.
- Subject – Enter a brief description of why you’re reporting this image.
- Reporting User ID or Username – Typically this will default in for you, but if not, enter your user ID or D&D Beyond username.
- DM User ID or Username – Typically this will default in for you, but if not, enter the ID or D&D Beyond username of the DM who uploaded the image.
- Game Session ID or Campaign Link – Typically this will default in for you, but if not, enter the ID of the game in which you saw this image, or a link to that campaign.
- Your Name – Enter your name here. (This is for our use only. We will not share this or other information about you with other players.)
- Report Reason – Select the most appropriate category of why you are reporting this image. Select ‘Other’ if there is not a close match.
- Description – Enter any other details we should know about your report.
- Please attach a screenshot of the image you’re reporting.
- Click Submit.

How do I find my D&D Beyond username?
When you’re logged into D&D Beyond on the web, your username displays in the upper right of the window.
When logged into the mobile app, tap the Profile menu in the upper left of the app to view your username.
How do I find the DM’s D&D Beyond username?
On the My Campaigns page, the DM’s username will display on the campaign.
How do I find my campaign link?
From the My Campaigns page, click View Campaign. Copy the URL of this campaign details page.
What should I expect after reporting an image?
Our team will review your report, and we will follow up with you by email if we have any further questions during our investigation. For privacy reasons we will not be able to provide details on any actions taken due to your report.
