Why do I see payment authorizations or holds on my bank account or credit card statement?

As soon as you place your order, we pre-authorize your selected payment method for the full amount of your order inclusive of taxes, shipping, and any applicable coupons or discounts. You may see a temporary hold for that amount on your account statement.

If your order contains only in-stock physical products or only digital products (but not both), you will see one payment authorization. You may see additional payment authorizations if:

  • your order contains both physical and digital products (including bundles), or
  • your order contains physical backorders or pre-orders.
