Sharing and Publishing Homebrew Content

Private Homebrew Sharing

Homebrew content does not need to be shared with the public community to be used with others in your group. Any players who have joined a campaign with homebrew materials will be able to see and utilize it.

A User can click the Add to Collection button on the page of any Homebrew element to Add that creation to their My Homebrew Collection, which makes that homebrew element available for use within their campaigns. This includes any homebrew element they've discovered from browsing the public lists, or elements they have created, whether they have made them public or not.

Publishing

If you have a Hero or Master Tier subscription, once you create a Homebrew element, you can also share it publicly with the community by publishing it! Other players can view the homebrew content and choose to add it to their own library of content so it can be used in their Character Builder and Character Sheet, or in the case of monsters, the Maps VTT.

To share homebrew content with the community, view the individual element's details page and click Publish to submit it for review. Once your homebrew element is submitted, it goes into a moderation queue, where the moderators will ensure it adheres to the Homebrew Rules & Guidelines, before approving it.

Once your homebrew content is approved, it will appear in the appropriate homebrew element listing (Spells, Magic Items, Monsters, etc.).

Please, be patient and do not message moderators, asking them to review and authorize your homebrew. We will work through all homebrew submissions in order and either authorize or let you know if changes are needed to your creation to meet the rules & guidelines. If your content is rejected, you can edit and resubmit if desired.

Since publishing is not a requirement to use your creations in a campaign, we advise not to publish unless you really want to share your creation with the public. Once content is published you can no longer edit that published version nor can it be removed from the public listings.
