Joining a D&D Beyond Campaign

A person can join a Campaign only if they are invited. This invite is via a link provided by the Campaign owner.

If you want to invite someone to your D&D Beyond Campaign:

  1. Make sure you are logged into your D&D Beyond account.
  2. Navigate to the appropriate Campaign page.
  3. Click “Copy Link” in the upper right-hand area under the Campaign Name.
  4. Paste that link in a message or email to anyone you want to invite to the campaign.

If you want to join a D&D Beyond Campaign you’ve been invited to:

  1. Make sure you are logged into your D&D Beyond account.
  2. Click the link provided (or enter the URL in a dedicated web browser) to get to the “Join a Campaign” page.
    • Note: If you encounter an error clicking the link while in a chat/email service like Messenger, Discord, or your Email service, instead copy and paste the URL into a dedicated web browser.
  3. Once you arrive at the “Join a Campaign” page you can either:
    • Click the “CREATE A CHARACTER” button to go through the character creation process
    • or...
    • Select one of your existing characters and scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the “JOIN WITH THIS CHARACTER” button.
  4. Once you join the Campaign with a character, that character will appear on the Campaign page alongside any other characters in the campaign. You may need to refresh the page to see the updated character list.
  5. If you want to join with more than one character, you must click the invite link again (or enter the Invite URL in a dedicated web browser again) to get back to the “Join a Campaign” page.
