What You Need to Know
On February 2, 2026, all D&D Beyond users were logged out to ensure accounts are in compliance with Wizards' new Parental Consent Policy to support a safe experience for everyone and stay aligned with global privacy standards. Some accounts may require a new verified consent step to maintain access to particular features.
If you haven’t done so already, you’ll be required to provide your date of birth and region when logging into your D&D Beyond account. The same is true when creating a new D&D Beyond account. This information is needed to continue using that account. Providing these details helps us ensure that:
• Adults can confirm they are eligible to manage their own privacy preferences, and
• Users who are considered digital minors in their region can be guided through any consent steps required by local regulations, with support from our trusted partner, k-ID.
If you’re a parent or guardian, k-ID offers a secure and straightforward way to review and approve an account when needed.
What You Need to Do
- Log into your D&D Beyond account at https://www.dndbeyond.com/account.
- Enter your Date of Birth and Location information under “K-ID Status” and click Submit.
- If you are not considered a digital minor in your region, you should see a "Success!" message and should be able to access your account normally going forward.
- If you are considered a digital minor in your region, you'll be prompted to add your parent/guardian's email address, so they can complete the k-ID registration process. You're almost there!
