How will I know whether something is 5e or 5.5e?

D&D Beyond will show clear labels and filters to indicate whether content uses the 5e (2014) or 5.5e (2024) rules. If you spot an area that hasn’t been updated yet, you can generally assume 2024 content = 5.5e.
