Home
The Home screen allows you to select the following toggle and dropdown options:
- Set a Portrait and Character Name. (You can skip these at the start as they'll be available in other sections too).
- Select Sources and Partnered Content of the character options you want available for the character. (You may want to check with your DM if they have house rules for what they allow in the campaign.)
- Whether you want digital Dice Rolling to visually appear on the screen.
- Optional Class Features and the ability to Customize your Origin.
- The Advancement Type for the campaign. Note that the default advancement method is Milestone, but you can change this to XP if that's what your campaign uses.
- The Hit Point Type for the campaign. (Fixed or Manual Hit Points) Fixed hit points are the default, but you can adjust that to Manual in preferences as well.
- Show Level-Scaled Spells to display and highlight available spells to cast with higher level spell slots.
- Select the Encumbrance Type for tracking the weight of your gear.
- Whether you want to Ignore Coin Weight or not.
- Whether you want your Ability Score/Modifier Display to have the score or modifier on top.
- Character Privacy, to choose who can view your characters.
Class
The Class section allows you to:
- Choose your Class and change your class Level, including making multiclass choices.
- Review your Class Features for each level, and choose from any Class Features options you are given.
- Add and Prepare Spells if your character is a spellcaster.
Background
The Background section allows you to:
- Select your character's Origin/Background, including a Custom Background.
- Flesh out more details for your character, like Character Details, Physical Characteristics, Personal Characteristics, and other Notes (like Organizations, Allies, Enemies, Backstory, etc.)
Species
The Species section allows you to select what Sources are available for the campaign, and the Species itself, as well as any Species Features options you are given.
Abilities
The Abilities section allows you to determine your ability scores in this section by using the standard array, point buy system, or entering them manually.
Equipment
The Equipment section allows you to select Starting Equipment, or skip that and manually add equipment. On top of that, any equipment that affects your character's statistics (such as armor), will automatically update the character sheet with those modifiers. You can also track attuned magic items here.
What's Next
This final section provides helpful context and links to go and play your character, including going to the digital sheet, exporting for print (which will be available later in the beta), and creating or joining a campaign.
